            This Month's Questions
Builders' Risk
Mr. & Mrs. X just closed a construction loan that purchases a piece of property where they will have Contractor Y build a house for them. Contractor Y will purchase building materials and submit receipts once a month to the bank for reimbursement. Contractor Y wants a builders' risk policy with him as named insured. If Mr. & Mrs. X purchased a homeowners policy with a course of construction endorsement that includes theft of building materials and named Contractor Y as an additional insured, would a builders' risk policy still be needed for Contractor Y? What would be the best way to insure all parties correctly?
