Raleigh, N.C.-based independent insurance brokerage TriSure Corp. has hired Tom Hayes as a safety and health consultant. His responsibilities will include conducting OSHA inspections and audits, helping employers identify workplace regulations and implement safety and training programs. Prior to joining TriSure, Hayes worked for the North Carolina Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Division since 1986, most recently as bureau chief of compliance within the Eastern region.
Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. has hired John Grotts as senior vice president and business development manager for the San Francisco Bay Area region. Grotts will lead a team of account executives in the San Francisco Commercial Lines Department. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Grotts was CEO of Willis Insurance Services of California. He began his career as a risk manager for Jung Partners Securities, the Clorox Co. and Fresno Unified School District.
Alan Preston has been named vice president of operations at Professional Program Insurance Brokerage of Novato, Calif. He is responsible for all internal operations and will oversee the company's planned expansion later this year. Previously, Preston was a corporate vice president responsible for global human resources at Chevron Corp.
Hardy Nix has been promoted to vice president in the Texas office of Colemont Insurance Brokers. He focuses on hard-to-place casualty lines, including general liability and umbrellas for apartments, restaurants, night clubs, construction contractors, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Hardy joined Colemont in 2000 after serving for six years as the branch manager for the Dallas office of Montgomery & Collins.
Colemont Insurance Brokers also promoted Todd Brejcha to assistant vice president in its Chicago office. Brejcha specializes in excess transportation, primary auto, construction and product liability. He joined Colemont in 1999.
All Risks Ltd., a Hunt Valley, Md.-based independent wholesale insurance brokerage, has hired Clyde Williams as a senior broker in its San Francisco office. Williams, who brings established underwriter relationships to his agency clients, has specialties primary general liability, excess liability and umbrella for construction risks, habitational, chemical, medical products and life sciences. He previously worked four years at Tri City Brokerage in a similar position.
Crump Insurance Services has named Michal Walter associate broker for the transportation department in Bothell, Wash. Crump has also promoted Debbie Boitano to broker for the transportation department in Bothell. Previously an associate broker, Boitano has served in the Bothell transportation team since 1986.
