JONATHAN PRINN was named managing director, strategic carrier relationships, at Willis Group Holdings. Prinn will be based out of the global broker's headquarters in London and will work on its Shaping Our Future Marketing initiative, which is geared toward improving carrier relationships for the sake of Willis clients. Prior to joining Willis, Prinn worked for 18 years at Marsh & McLennan Cos., most recently as the global chief operating officer at the facultative division of reinsurance intermediary Guy Carpenter.
PHIL TOMPSETT is the new national head for Aon's public-sector risks team in the United Kingdom. Tompsett will be charged with supporting public-sector risk managers by accessing the full range of expertise across Aon and, as part of the Aon European public-sector team, sharing experience as to how certain exposures are handled in the European Union. Tompsett has been with Aon since 1996; his previous position was head of client management in the Northwest.
Aon Corp. also announced that DAMIEN GUERMONPREZ is the new chief executive officer of Aon France, as well as a member of the Aon Risk Services executive board. Guermonprez, 45, has been with Aon since last year and worked previously with Banque Accord, Case Europe, Renault Credit International and 3 Suisses International. He is replacing Vincent Redier, who will remain on as Aon France's executive chairman and Aon Re Europe-Middle East-Africa chairman.
Radford Surveys + Consulting, part of Aon Consulting, announced that LINDA E. AMUSO
is now president of the firm, which provides market compensation intelligence and consulting to the high technology and life sciences industries. Amuso joined Radford in 2005 as senior vice president and has devoted 20 years to advising corporate leadership on pay strategies.
BRUCE M. BASSO was appointed president and CEO of the newly named Wells Fargo Global Broker Network LLC, which was known as the HLA Global Network before Wells Fargo Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., became its exclusive manager. Basso is also on the network's board of directors. He had been co-chairman of ABD Insurance and Financial Services, which became part of Wells Fargo. DEANNA HYNDLEY also joins the Wells Fargo Global Broker Network team as its marketing and compliance manager.
was named CEO of Bowring Marsh, a new arm of Marsh Inc. devoted to international placement of property/casualty risks. Gregory had been head of the broker's U.K. global placement operations. In his new role, he will report to Alex Moczarski, president of Marsh's international division, and will oversee teams in Zurich, Miami, Singapore, Bermuda, London and Dublin.
BARRY E. MILES is the new senior vice president and benefits practice leader for USI Southwest, one of six geographical zones for the diversified insurance and financial services firm that provides integrated distribution of general and specialty property/casualty insurance and financial services consulting.
