JOHN HAMILTON is the new senior vice president and division manager for Thomas Rutherfoord, charged with the oversight of the Atlanta office of the privately held brokerage and risk management firm. Hamilton has 24 years of experience in the business, most recently as chairman and managing director for Wachovia Insurance Services in Georgia.

Rutherfoord also announced that CRAIG PERRY will serve as vice president in the Atlanta office, with responsibilities including the development of international and risk management accounts and due diligence at the office. Perry has been with the Atlanta office since 2004, before which he worked as managing director in New York and Atlanta with Marsh Inc.

KEITH SCHULER is the new CEO of InterWest Insurance Services, charged with doubling the brokerage firm's managed premiums and bring in $100 million in revenue while maintaining its independent status. The Sacramento, Calif-based company now manages more than $500 million in policy premiums out of nine Golden State offices. Schuler has worked with InterWest for more than 21 years, having served last as president of its Northern Division.

LISA BANDUCCI was made leader of the new Human Resources Consulting Services Program at Heffernan Insurance Brokers. Based in Walnut Creek, Ore., Banducci will oversee a program that will provide Oregon employers with services including wellness programs, employee handbook development, leave of absence, and ADA compliance.

Heffernan also named ELIZABETH THOMAS as an assistant vice president, financial services. Based out of Portland, Ore., Thomas will be responsible for account management and new business development. Her previous employee benefits experience included a stint at H-C & Associates/GET Benefits.

THOMAS O'CONNELL is the president of the newly created Chicago office of Hylant Group, where he will oversee talent management and business development. O'Connell comes to the Toledo, Ohio-based private, commercial broker by way of Aon Risk Services, where he was senior vice president, as well as prior positions at Near North, Rollins Burdick Hunter and Arthur J. Gallagher.

The Gibraltar Group, a commercial broker and risk management services provider based in Lubbock, Texas, announced two changes to its senior leadership. Founders BRANDT BEAL and RALPH BEAL, who had previously been vice president and president respectively, have been named president and chairman, respectively.

BRENDA HUNTER was also named by the company as its new vice president of underwriting. She will be responsible for oversight of all underwriting activities and monitoring quality control and will play a role in strategic decision-making.
