STEVE LINDO was appointed as the second-ever executive director of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association. Lindo has a background that spans the risk management and insurance industry and the globe, including positions as vice president of risk capital management at GMAC Financial Services, Cargill Financial Services Corp., Bank One and Lloyds Bank PLC. Lindo has been active with PRMIA since its founding in 2002, most recently as its Minneapolis regional director. He replaces founding member David R. Koenig.
DAVID D. RUSSO was hired by New Day Underwriting Managers LLC as account manager. Russo came to New Day from Commerce Insurance Services, where he was assistant vice president and business development associate. He has also served with Venture Insurance Programs and the Insurance Corp. of Hannover. Bordentown, N.J.-based New Day Underwriters helps retail brokers and their clients in their environmental and construction risk management efforts.
GUILLERMO BUBLIK, PH.D. joined LJM Partners Ltd. as its chief risk officer. He is responsible for developing quantitative risk management tools and LJM Storm, a proprietary trading system. BUBLIK has spent more than 18 years creating pricing and risk management tools for equities, interest rates, foreign exchange and fixed income. He most recently served as executive director at UBS-O'Connor, the hedge fund branch of UBS Global Asset Management.
BRIAN TRUSKY
was promoted to the position of vice president, loss prevention, for Moss & Associates, in which he will oversee the privately held construction firm's safety, claims and environmental initiatives. Trusky joined Moss in 2004 as safety director and since has helped the company earn such distinctions as six Sunshine State Safety Awards and the Liberty Mutual Gold Safety Award. His career in the construction industry spans 19 years, focusing primarily on safety and loss prevention in the United States and the Caribbean.
