P. STEPHEN HARRIS was named general counsel of Kansas City, Mo.-based Ascension Insurance Inc. Harris will be responsible for all legal activities related to the firms acquisition of insurance agencies and employee benefits consultancies. In more than 30 years of legal practice, he has managed the legal and due diligence affairs of 23 acquisitions and 14 divestitures. Prior to this appointment, he was general counsel at DeLaval Inc.

Assurant Health announced that Jennifer Kopps-Wagner is its new senior vice president and general counsel. Kopps-Wagner joined Assurant Health in 1999, holding a succession of positions in the company's legal department. In her most recent role as vice president, legal, she provided legal support and counsel for Assurant Health's Individual Medical and Worksite and Specialty Products product lines, as well as the Operations area.

ANTHONY MENZIES joined European law firm Taylor Wessing in its insurance and reinsurance practice. He will work with James Crabtree, the firm's head of insurance, as well as its other practice members in offices throughout Europe and in Dubai. Menzies comes to Taylor Wessing by way of Clyde & Co., where he was a partner.

VINCENT TRITTO was named general counsel of Primus Guaranty Ltd., the Bermuda-based credit risk transfer service and product provider. Tritto will also serve on the company's operating committee. He previously worked at BlackRock Inc. as managing director and senior counsel.
