American International Group Inc. has appointed its first chief diversity officer, TERRI D. AUSTIN. In this new position based in New York, Austin will be responsible for expanding and implementing AIG's diversity initiatives in its work force, products, suppliers, vendors and customer base. Hired as an assistant general counsel in 1990, Austin served most recently as the chief compliance officer for AIG's domestic brokerage group.
Jimcor Agencies, an excess and surplus lines wholesaler, has appointed STEVEN C. MANSFIELD senior underwriter in its Marlton, N.J., office.
Strategic Risk Solutions, a provider of captive management and consulting services, has hired PATRICK POLLARD as director-domestic operations based in its Burlington, Vt., office. Prior to joining SRS, Pollard was with Arkwright Mutual Insurance Co.
Pharmaceutical Strategies Group, a pharmacy-benefits consultancy, announced the addition of five new employees. JOHN HINES will serve as director, tools and client automation, based in Scottsdale, Ariz. MARYBETH OCHOA is the new manager of client support services in Chicago. JENNIFER L. ATHMANN is director of strategic account services in Shakopee, Minn. PAMELA KNOX is an account manager in Ambler, Pa. SONDRA FERRILL joins as an account manager in Irving, Texas.
CRM Holdings Ltd. has announced top-level management changes following the completion of its acquisition of Majestic Insurance Co. DANIEL G. HICKEY JR. transitioned from co-CEO to CEO, while remaining chairman of the board. ROBERT V. POLANSKY, formerly of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., joined CRM as senior vice president of sales and product development.
Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC announced the appointment of AJAY JUNNARKAR as chief financial officer. He will lead the firm's finance and corporate services departments, and will help to shape the reinsurance intermediary's financial strategies and capital markets capabilities. Junnarkar will assume the responsibilities previously held by PHIL PETRONIS, who has been appointed chief operating officer for Marsh Products and Services Management.
Guy Carpenter also announced that DAVID PRIEBE has been named head of global specialty operations. Based in New York, he will oversee the firm's 16 specialty practices, as well as the Instrat modeling and actuarial unit and the business development unit. Previously, Priebe was president and CEO of Guy Carpenter & Co. Ltd. and head of U.K. and Continental European operations.
Assuming Priebe's former duties will be NICK FRANKLAND, who has been appointed CEO of U.K. operations, and ANDREW MARCELL, who has been named CEO of Continental European operations and head of business development and specialty practices within the U.K. and Continental European regions.
MICHAEL HANDLER has been appointed nonexecutive chairman for Continental Europe. He previously was regional manager of Guy Carpenter's operations in Continental Europe.
The firm also announced that KEVIN GRIFFITHS will replace Marcell as head of its global casualty specialty practices, effective immediately. Griffiths will be based in Philadelphia and report to Priebe. BRIAN HANUSCHAK will assume Griffiths' role as eastern region business development leader, and continue to lead Guy Carpenter's alternative risk transfer specialty practice.
