A Risk Primer: The Best Bets in the Big Easy

The pilgrimage of risk and insurance managers to the annual convention of the Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc., the largest such gathering in the United States every year, will be held in New Orleans in late April and early May. A survey of the conference guide reveals dozens of sessions that attendees must choose from.

As a service to our readers, we've decided to highlight some of the more important, compelling and relevant sessions to be held this year in the Big Easy, as well as provide an outside expert's take on the topic. The idea is to muster a little, but preferably a lot, of heated debate ahead of time.

The three sessions highlighted in the pages that follow, picked by the editors of Risk & Insurance®, are all 300-level sessions. They were selected with the aim of meeting the expectations of our readers, who have an average of 15 years in the field of risk management, while keeping in mind the goings-on in today's marketplace.
