Beecher Carlson has announced the promotion of JANET WARREN to managing director and national claims leader. In this role, Warren will be responsible for the management and delivery of claims consulting services to clients. Warren is a 20-year insurance industry veteran and originally joined Atlanta-based Beecher Carlson in March 2005 as senior vice president, claims.
Beecher Carlson also expanded its National Healthcare practice with the appointment of MICHAEL SUTER as senior vice president. Suter will focus on managing and growing the California Medical Group Insurance Co. Risk Retention Group, as well as produce and service medical malpractice and property/casualty insurance placements for medical groups, physicians and health-care facilities in California. Suter will be based in Beecher Carlson's Los Angeles office.
The McIntyre Group, a full-service insurance brokerage and consulting firm in Cherry Hill, N.J., announced that JAMES S. WALKER has been named senior marketing executive, responsible for analyzing and structuring insurance programs for clients' commercial risk exposures. Walker started in the industry in 1992, with time spent as a producer at The Graham Co. He comes to The McIntyre Group from Bernstein Global Wealth Management in New York.
Willis Group Holdings announced that CEES VAN DER SLIKKE has joined the global insurance broker as senior vice president and Natural Resources Practice leader for Willis Canada. Van der Slikke will work closely with Willis' Global Energy practice to bring to bear global resources to solve client problems. He is based in Calgary, Alberta. Van der Slikke comes by way of Aon, where he was Canadian Energy Practice Leader for 11 years. Prior to joining Aon, van der Slikke was risk manager for Unilever and Shell International.
Willis also announced that TERRY WARREN has been named to the newly created roll of managing director of its Nashville, Tenn., operations. Warren will work closely with the range of business units with presence in Nashville, including corporate and North American functions such as the certificate center, claims advocacy center and technology. Warren will also drive the broker's Employer of Choice initiatives across the Nashville operations.
