Keane Business Risk Management Solutions, a suburban Philadelphia-based financial risk and compliance solution provider for Fortune 1000 companies, has announced the appointment of JOHN GARBER as vice president. He will focus on business development. Garber was the founder of Garber & Associates, and is an insurance industry veteran.

Jones Lang LaSalle has announced that JANICE OCHENKOWSKI has been promoted to managing director of the firm's global risk management department. Ochenkowski had been senior vice president in her previous role at the real estate money management and services firm. Ochenkowski is responsible for overseeing a department of 10 risk management professionals who are responsible for guiding the purchase and administration of corporate insurance programs.

U.S. Risk Insurance Group, the third largest privately held managing general agent and wholesale broker in the United States, has announced that APRIL MOESER has been named assistant vice president of marketing. Moeser will lead efforts to identify, launch, and manage products and services in emerging and established industry markets.

Deloitte & Touche USA LLP has appointed CLAUDIA WOLF to be the leader of the Initiative for the Retention and Advancement of Women, or Women's Initiative, in the Midwest region. Wolf, a Chicago-based partner with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, succeeds Julia Cloud, who is a partner with Deloitte Tax LLP.

American International Group Inc. has announced that NICHOLAS J. ASHOOH will join the company in September as senior vice president for communications. Ashooh will report directly to AIG President and CEO Martin J. Sullivan. Ashooh's responsibilities will include corporate and employee communications, publications, advertising and global branding, media and public relations, marketing communications and the AIG archives.

Delos Insurance, formerly Sirius America, has announced the hiring of GRACE MEEK, as chief business officer. Meek will work directly with Delos Chairman Detlef Steiner and CEO Bill Davis. She is responsible for executing the company's business plan, which is focused exclusively on program business. Meek joins Delos from Praetorian Financial Group, where she was chief partnership officer, and from Praetorian's sister company, Clarendon Insurance.

The International Risk Management Institute has announced that MILLICENT W. WORKMAN has joined as editor of Practical Risk Management and research analyst. Dallas-based IRMI is a research institute that studies and publishes on insurance and risk management, specializing in the construction industry. Workman is also president of the Malvern, Pa.-based Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society, and previously had been an independent risk management consultant based in Memphis, Tenn.

Towers Perrin has announced that STEVE TAYLOR-GOOBY has been named managing director for its Tillinghast business. In this new role, Taylor-Gooby will be responsible for establishing overall strategic direction, key investment priorities and positioning for global organization for Tillinghast. He was previously the global business director for Tillinghast.

The firm has also announced that RICHARD BATTY will assume management responsibility for its Asia-Pacific region, along with his current role as region manager for Europe.

Pricewaterhouse-Coopers has announced that JOHN MERRIGAN will lead its Insurance Risk Management Solutions unit, a part of its Transaction Services practice. Merrigan has 30 years of experience in corporate insurance and risk management programs. He succeeds Cathy McKeon who retired in July.
