Marsh appointed SHAOSEN CHENG as a senior vice president and practice leader of the firm's Greater China Client Services in the Americas. Cheng will be based in the New York office, rejoining Marsh from Aon Risk Services, where he was senior vice president of international casualty brokerage and director of the North America China Business Group. Previously, he was with Marsh for more than eight years.
Marsh also announced that three new executives--STEVE POWNEY, STEVEN LEWIS and TRICIA BURGESS--have all joined its International Surety Practice from Aon's Surety and Guarantee team. Powney will lead the International Surety Practice for Marsh in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He had worked at Aon for 10 years and was managing director of the firm's Surety and Guarantee team. Lewis has been appointed as senior vice president. He was previously a director in Aon's Surety and Guarantee Practice for 15 years. Burgess joins Marsh as vice president. She was previously a senior bond administrator in Aon's Surety and Guarantee Practice for 19 years.
Conner Strong, a Cherry Hill, N.J.-based insurance brokerage, promoted JOSEPH M. DIBELLA executive vice president of the Employee Benefits Consulting practice. Prior to joining Conner Strong in 2006, DiBella worked for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, the state's largest health plan, where he most recently served as the senior leader and managing associate for national and jumbo accounts.
