Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. hired ALAN BORING as a senior vice president and sales executive in the Southern California region to specialize in upper middle market and large risk management accounts, with an emphasis on agriculture, food and food processing, retail chains and financial institutions. He previously worked for Marsh, Rollins Burdick Hunter and Aon.
ROBERT J. IRVIN joined Lockton in San Francisco as a senior vice president in the firm's Private Equity and Corporate Acquisitions Practice. Most recently, Irvin was a senior vice president in Marsh's Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. hired JAMES R. ALLEN in its San Francisco office to focus on client consultation in the areas of business and individual life and disability insurance. Prior to Woodruff-Sawyer, he spent 21 years with Marsh (formerly Sedgwick Noble Lowndes), where he served in a similar role for individuals and executives at Fortune 500 companies and various-sized corporations.
ABD Insurance and Financial Services, a Wells Fargo company, added JANINE MCCAFFERY as sales executive in its Redwood City, Calif.-based construction and real estate insurance brokerage practice. Prior to joining ABD/Wells Fargo, McCaffery worked in the title insurance industry for 27 years, most recently as a national commercial sales representative for First American Title.
Edgewood Partners Insurance Center, a retail property/casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, appointed MICHAEL P. CHECCA as principal in its Los Angeles office. Checca comes to the EPIC team from the Professional Practice Insurance Brokers division of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs in Los Angeles.
EPIC also appointed MICHAEL LA FLEUR as principal in its San Mateo, Calif., office. La Fleur comes to the EPIC team from a leading full-service global insurance brokerage where he was a vice president. La Fleur has provided risk management and insurance counsel to companies of all sizes, ranging from startups to multinational firms, for more than 20 years.
