The Navigators Group Inc. hired PAUL HENNESSY as president of Navigators Holdings (U.K.) Ltd. Hennessy will be responsible for Navigators' operations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He spent 22 years with the Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. in a variety of assignments, including European commercial customer group manager, and 10 years with CNA, including five years as chief underwriting officer of CNA Europe.
Marsh Inc. appointed GILBERT VAN DEN EYNDE to head its large global client division, known as G5. Van den Eynde, who is based in Duesseldorf, Germany, was previously the G5 leader in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The G5 unit, which currently has 135 clients, services the top global companies--mainly Fortune 500 companies.
Zurich Financial Services Group appointed ADRIAN ZWEIG to the newly created position of head of risk analytics in group risk management. Zweig joined Zurich's Investment Management in 2003 and most recently served as the head of strategic asset allocation and asset and liability management
SABRINA HART was also appointed by Zurich to the newly created position of head of risk operations in group risk management. She most recently served as chief underwriting officer of specialties business unit of Zurich North America Commercial in New York. She will relocate to Zurich for the new position.
London-based Beazley Group named DAVID MAROCK to the newly created post of chief operating officer. Marock most recently was head of specialty lines claims. Beazley also announced that NEIL MAIDMENT, head of the reinsurance division, will take on the additional role of chairman of the underwriting committee and active underwriter of syndicates 623 and 2623.
JONATHAN GRAY, head of the Beazley property division, will chair a new management group focusing on the development of U.S. business, whether underwritten at Lloyd's or locally in the U.S. market. ADRIAN COX, formerly head of the professions group within specialty lines, Beazley's largest division, has become head of specialty lines.
