Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. announced the appointment of PATRICK L. FUNCK as executive vice president, chief information officer, of the North American claims and productivity management services organization. Previously, he was chief information officer of third-party claims administrator Broadspire Services.

Sedgwick also appointed TIM C. OVER as senior vice president and director of its newly formed national health-care professional-liability claims services practice, Sedgwick Caronia. Over was previously at Cambridge Integrated Services Group Inc., where he held a dual appointment as executive vice president of the complex claims division and vice president for national business development.

Max Re Capital Ltd. has announced the promotion of JOE ROBERTS, former senior vice president and controller, to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Roberts succeeds KEITH S. HYNES, who retired as CFO effective April 1.

Max Re has also announced the appointment of N. JAMES TEES, previously the company's senior vice president, treasurer and secretary, to executive vice president and chief risk officer. The company's former senior vice president and general counsel, SARENE A. BOURDAGES, has been promoted to executive vice president and general counsel.

The National League of Cities' Mutual Insurance Corp., a member-owned reinsurance company supporting individual state risk insurance pools for municipal governments, has appointed WILLIAM B. HEBERTON JR. as president and CEO. Heberton was previously senior vice president for specialty lines at CNA Reinsurance Group.

The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America has appointed CLISTON BROWN as director of federal public affairs. Brown spent the last three years as director of public affairs for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.

The Farmers Insurance Group of Cos. has announced a number of senior appointments within the companies. F. ROBERT WOUDSTRA has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Farmers Group Inc. KEITHA T. SCHOFIELD, executive vice president of support services, has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Farmers Services, a new support services entity. JERRY CARNAHAN, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the Farmers Insurance Group, has been appointed executive vice president and chief marketing officer. KEVIN KELSO, senior vice president and president of personal lines, has been appointed executive vice president, personal lines insurance. BRYAN MURPHY, senior vice president and chief claims officer, has been appointed executive vice president of claims. PAUL PATSIS, senior vice president and president of Farmers Life, has been appointed executive vice president, Farmers Life.

Risk modeling company AIR Worldwide Corp. appointed JOHN W. ROLLINS to the position of vice president. Rollins will provide catastrophe-risk-related actuarial consulting services to AIR's clients. He is the former chief actuary and director of corporate analytics at Florida's Citizens Property Insurance Corp.
