Kevin Kelley, the longtime CEO of Lexington Insurance Co., was named CEO of Hamilton, Bermuda-based Ironshore Inc. Under Kelley's leadership, Lexington became the largest excess-and-surplus lines insurer in the world.

Bob Deutsch, Ironshore's founding CEO, was named president. After having helped successfully establish Ironshore's platforms in Bermuda, the United States and London, Deutsch will work alongside Kelley to grow the insurer into a large, specialty company as it moves from its initial development stage.

Ironshore also appointed Shaun Kelly as CEO of U.S. operations. Kelly resigned Dec. 8 from his position as president and chief operating officer of Lexington Insurance Co. Kelly will be developing new U.S. specialty products to augment Ironshore's current resources in professional liability and healthcare liability lines.

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. named Richard Costello senior vice president of investor relations. Costello succeeds Kimberly Johnson, who remains with the company as senior vice president, corporate finance. Before joining the investor relations department in January 2008, Costello served as the company's corporate secretary and assistant general counsel, positions he assumed in 2004.

ACE Europe appointed Jim Duncan as property/casualty country manager for Ireland, based in its Dublin office. He will assume full management responsibility for ACE's P/C product lines distributed through its Belfast and Dublin offices. He previously worked in a variety of management roles in the U.K. and Ireland for Cunningham Lindsay, Chubb, Travelers and BDO Simpson Xavier.

Charles Fenton was named chief executive of the TT Club managed by Thomas Miller, a boutique insurance services business that manages mutual companies in the marine and logistics sector. Fenton succeeds Paul Neagle, who will become chief executive of Thomas Miller Investment. Fenton, who has been with Thomas Miller since 1997, is a former chief operating officer of Thomas Miller P&I, which manages the UK P&I Club. He most recently served as deputy chief executive of the TT Club. Both appointments are effective March 2009.
