Marsh appointed ROBERT P. WHEARTY as senior vice president of the firm's U.S. Space Projects Practice. Whearty, who is based in Washington, D.C., has more than 20 years experience in the satellite industry and has held senior positions in business development, strategic management and engineering with a variety of aerospace companies. Most recently, he was director of North America satellite sales and business development at Thales North America.

JIM FINNAMORE will join Aon in January as regional director of Aon Environmental Services Group, Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, he will coordinate the delivery of the unit's services to clients in the APAC region. Most recently, Finnamore served as senior vice president for Marsh, where he developed and managed the company's environmental liability practice for Asia.

GRAHAME CHILTON, formerly chief executive officer of Benfield Group, will serve as chairman of Aon Specialty, a new global specialty business unit. The unit aims to leverage the specialty talent at Aon with the talent at the former Benfield corporate risk division. Chilton will work closely with Peter Harmer, chief executive officer of Aon's U.K. operations, and Michael R. Moran, the newly appointed chief operating officer of the group.

GERALD ROCHON joined Aon Risk Services in Phoenix as vice president of business development. Rochon joins Aon from Hilb Rogal and Hobbs, where he served as vice president of employee benefits.
