Cliff Simpson joined Beecher Carlson as a senior managing director and national team leader for the firm's property practice. Prior to joining Beecher Carlson, Simpson served as executive vice president and national practice leader for Willis HRH's North American Property Practice. Prior to that, Simpson served as executive vice president of HRH's National Property Practice.

Also joining Beecher Carlson's property practice is Joel Troisi as managing director. Troisi previously served as managing director of the Southern U.S. Complex Property Group for Willis HRH and senior vice president and managing director of HRH's Southern U.S. Complex Property Group.

Beecher Carlson named Michael White managing director in its national property practice. White previously worked at Willis HRH as complex property marketing manger, Midwest Region. Before that, he served as assistant vice president at HRH.

Beecher announced as well that Sarah Waite was named assistant vice president in its national property practice. Waite previously served as a property broker for Willis HRH, where she managed an extensive book of large complex property accounts.

Aon appointed Laurel Meissner as senior vice president and global controller. She replaces Dan Hunger, who is retiring from the firm. Meissner will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls; compliance with regulations and standards; and financial operations across all lines of business globally. Since 2000, Meissner has held several positions at Motorola, most recently as senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

Marsh appointed David L. Eslick as chairman of Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, its small business unit. Since 2002, Eslick had been chairman, president and CEO of USI Holdings, leading the company's expansion in recent years to become the ninth largest insurance brokerage in the United States.
