Joe Boren joined Ironshore Inc. as CEO of the company's newly established environmental insurance facility. Boren was formerly chairman and CEO of AIG Environmental, where he worked for the last 13 years. Prior to AIG, he worked for 25 years in the environmental industry.
In addition, John O'Brien was appointed president of the company's environmental insurance facility. He was president and chief operating officer of AIG Environmental and had been with AIG for the last 17 years. O'Brien joined the AIG companies in 1992 as an underwriter and most recently served as executive vice president of the AIG Environmental Commercial and Middle Market divisions.
AIG named Russell Johnston president and CEO of AIG Environmental, a unit of AIG Commercial Insurance. Johnston joined AIG in 1990, serving in senior management positions within the AIG Risk Management Group, including president of National Accounts, president of Domestic Risk Management and most recently as president of AIG Risk Management.
In addition, Kimberly Hanna was named executive vice president and COO of AIG Environmental. She joined AIG's Canadian operations in 1996. Most recently, she had served as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer in the Environmental Unit.
Adrien Robinson joined Navigators as vice president and Environmental Practice Leader, and will be located in the company's Chicago office. Navigators Environmental is a new unit of the company's principal underwriting agency subsidiary, Navigators Management Co. In the past eight years, Robinson was an underwriter and underwriting manager for the Chicago, St. Louis and Cleveland offices for AIG Environmental.
Also joining Navigators' environmental team is Gregory Heidemann, assistant vice president and environmental underwriter. Over the past seven years, Heidemann practiced as an environmental engineering consultant and underwriter for AIG Environmental in Chicago.
Navigators Environmental appointed
Patrick Crotty as assistant vice president and environmental underwriter. Over the past three years, he served as an underwriter for AIG Environmental in the Chicago office.
Zurich named Julie Dunai as head of its environmental unit. Dunai joined Zurich in 1997 and has worked in a variety of senior roles, including head of proposition development for commercial markets.
BRAD COX was named a senior vice president of Lexington Insurance Co. and division executive of Lexington's Healthcare Division (AIG Healthcare). Cox will report to David Bresnahan, executive vice president of Lexington, who will continue as division executive of Lexington's Casualty Division but who will also have the responsibility of providing executive oversight for Lexington's Healthcare Division.
BETSY MCCOY, senior vice president of Lexington and chief underwriting officer for the Healthcare Division, will assume the additional role of chief underwriting officer of the Casualty Division.She will also report to David Bresnahan.
