Teena Hostovich, a senior vice president at Los Angeles-based Lockton Insurance Brokers LLC, was nominated for "Women Making A Difference," an annual event honoring the city's most successful women. The event was held at the Biltmore Hotel on May 1. Hostovich was nominated for the "Executive of the Year" category, which recognizes executives who far exceed the expectations of their organizations and are regarded as leaders among their peers.

Hostovich is Lockton's top female producer internationally and considered the company's leading authority on professional liability for major law firms and higher education institutions. She is considered a trailblazer for other women in her profession. Since joining Lockton in 2001, Hostovich has almost single-handedly developed Lockton's clientele among large national law firms, winning over as clients virtually all of the top law firms in Los Angeles.

Hostovich's expertise and commitment to delivering excellent service are reasons why clients have been loyal to her for years. According to Martin Checov, general counsel of O'Melveny & Myers and overseer of the firm's insurance, "Many other brokerages have sought our business over the years, and I have judged these suitors by the standards set by Teena. No one has come close to meeting those standards in my view."
