The topic was Rule 2-5: Amendments to the workers' compensation and special funds premium surcharge rates paid by carriers and self-insured employers while maintaining the total surcharge at its current level. The purpose was to adjust the premium surcharge rate paid by insurance carriers and self-insured employers. The proposed amendment will provide sufficient funding for the Workers' Compensation Cash Fund while slightly decreasing the amount going into the Special Funds. The total surcharge will remain the same. The hearing was held on April 6. For further details, visit www.coworkforce.com/dwc/Notices/Notices_of%20Rule_Hearings/NOTICE_Rule_2-5.pdf.
