Florida: Workshop focuses on self-insurers

The Division of Workers' Compensation, Bureau of Monitoring and Audit held a rulemaking workshop on Feb. 16 on proposed rule 69L-5, F.A.C., Rules for Self-Insurers Under the Workers' Compensation Act.

The purpose of this rule is to interpret and implement provisions of Chapter 440 regarding regulation by the Department of Financial Services and the Florida Self-Insurers Guaranty Association Inc. of entities self-insuring the payment of compensation for Florida employees.
