Nevada corrects maximum average wage

The Workers' Compensation Section issued an amendment to the computation of the state's maximum average monthly wage for FY 2010, for workers' compensation purposes, effective July 1, 2009.

The maximum considered wage for computing disability compensation for FY 2009 has been certified by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, Employment Security Division to be $801.94 per week. The Nevada Revised Statute 616A.065 defines the average monthly wage as 150 percent of the state average weekly wage multiplied by 4.33.
