National Managed Care Provider First to Workers' Compensation Market With Innovative Technology That Reduces Costs to Employers

Franklin, Tenn.--MedInsights Inc, a leading provider of managed care services, has launched MedInsights Care Ticket using VIIAD's award-winning Health Ticket technology and is the first national managed care services company to adopt VIIAD's Health Ticket.

The MedInsights Care Ticket, powered by VIIAD, is an on demand, Web-based communication tool that goes beyond a traditional group health card and transmits all the information relevant to a workers' compensation claim transaction to the employee, employer, medical provider and claim payor.

The MedInsights Care Ticket will help reduce a client's claim costs by: increasing PPO network penetration; increasing ancillary network usage; maintaining compliance with ever-changing regulatory environments and PPO contracts; and, improving communication among all parties.

"Given the trends seen in NCCI data showing that the proportional cost of medical continues to climb, the MedInsights Care Ticket will be a significant asset to our product portfolio. It will help drive PPO or preferred vendor utilization, and those savings can go straight to a risk manager's bottom line," said Paula Woolworth, senior vice president of account management and managed care for GAB Robins North America, Inc, MedInsights' parent company. "The MedInsights Care Ticket is a competitive advantage for our company and will allow us to better service our customers in a real-time environment."

"MedInsights and GAB Robins recognize that today's marketplace is one in which companies should continually focus on quality care, reducing costs and maintaining compliance. By using VIIAD's Health Ticket, it only enhances MedInsights' and GAB Robins' commitment to their clients to communicate critical information better while reducing costs," said April Stiles, chief operating officer of VIIAD.
