Like many cities around the country, San Fran is in dire fiscal shape. One way the city is trying to scrape together spare change is by tackling the abuse and inefficiencies in its workers' comp system. Just get this stat: one in five workers in Recreation and Parks filed a claim last year. The Public Health department filed more than double the claims of the Fire department.
