North Carolina: Processing fee for compromise settlement agreements due upon submission
The processing fee for compromise settlement agreements, Form 21 and Form 26/26A agreements and Form 24 applications, shall be paid at the time of submission of the documents to the Industrial Commission unless the documents are filed electronically. The former methods used for submission of documents to the commission for processing did not change. Form 21 and Form 26/26A agreements must continue to be mailed to the claims department at the address shown on the bottom of the claims form. However, the processing fee shall be enclosed. Documents that cannot be processed because they are incomplete, not properly completed, or not accompanied by payment or certification of payment may be returned. The changes took effect Oct. 1, 2009. For more information, visit www.ic.nc.gov.
