New Mexico: WC rates to decline for fourth consecutive year, officials say

Workers' compensation rates will drop in New Mexico for the fourth consecutive year.

Officials from the New Mexico Division of Insurance recently approved the National Council on Compensation Insurance's request for a 4.5 percent decrease in voluntary market rates. Rates for the assigned risk pool will drop an average of 0.9 percent, according to the filing.

The new rates will go into effect Jan. 1, 2010.
