Nevada: Videoconference to discuss implementation of four bills
The videoconference will be in Room 4412 of the Sawyer Building, 555 East Washington Ave., Las Vegas and in Room 2134 of the Legislative Building, 401 South Carson St., Carson City.
Assembly Bill 496 revises provisions relating to vocational rehabilitation and to factors to be considered in calculating and imposing a benefit penalty. Assembly Bill 24 includes various injuries in the definition of catastrophic injury, adopts requirements for adjusters administering catastrophic injury claims, and establishes certain provisions relating to life care plans. Senate Bill 20 extends the period of time for the administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations of the Department of Business and Industry to make a decision on a claim against the Subsequent Injury Account for private carriers. Senate Bill 195, among other things, adopts criteria for the division to refuse to recommend approval of an application for a certificate of registration as an administrator.
