The purpose of the proposed amendments is to improve the rule's organization, clarity and consistency, and to eliminate redundancy. Among other subjects, the proposed rules: 1) describe procedures for redetermining the extent of permanent disability when newly accepted or omitted conditions have been added; 2) clarify requirements and limitations affecting apportionment and offset of permanent disability; 3) clarify that an allergy is an immunologic state; and 4) eliminate references to the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 3rd Ed., Rev. 1990.

The hearing will be held at the Labor & Industries Building, 350 Winter Street NE, Room F, Salem, OR 97301.
