Here's the landmark GAO report from Oct. 2009 regarding worker injury reporting. The occupational health practitioners interviewed for the report noted worker fear for reporting an injury or illness, pressure by employers to provide insufficient treatment to workers and pressure to downplay the injury so that it would not be reported to OSHA.
