North Dakota: Workers' comp agency proposes 3.3 percent rate increase

North Dakota's Workforce Safety and Insurance agency recently proposed a 3.3 percent average increase in workers' compensation rates.

If approved, the new rates will go into effect in July. Officials attributed the rising rates to a boost in average wages in the state and increasing medical costs. The agency is expected to host a public forum about the rate increase in the coming weeks.
