Are You the Half Encouraging Health?

A recent Hewitt survey found that nearly half of the nation's major employers now offer or plan to offer incentives next year to employees who participate in wellness or other health-related initiatives, compared with just 38 percent in 2006.

If you look at all of the ways to improve employee health and lower insurance costs, nearly two out of three employers in the survey said they were planning to be more aggressive going forward with better health education for employees, analyzing data better, condition management programs and approaches to hold employees responsible for their own well-being.
