The National Association of Chemical Distributors--for the arm of the industry that, you guessed it, distributes chemicals--lists on its site the top companies in the industry, news from Washington, conference information and details on the NACD "Responsible Distribution Process." The American Chemistry Council drives the point home with its p.r. campaign that chemical companies are essential to living--at least the American (or Western) way of life.
