COVERAGES HANNOVER RE partnered with Peabody, Mass.-based ENERGI INSURANCE SERVICES to release a new insurance product called Energy Savings Warranty Program for businesses, municipalities and home owners.The program provides a backstop for energy savings guarantees.
SWISS RE released an index-based microinsurance product in Vietnam to protect farming production from weather-related losses. The program is offered through Vietnam Agribank Insurance Joint Stock Co. RESOURCES More than 70 U.K.-based managing general agents have supported the launch of the MANAGING GENERAL AGENTS' ASSOCIATION (MGAA). The new trade group is in the process of evaluating comments from these prospective members to help get itself off the ground. CATERPILLAR released "A Safe Operation: Safety Tips for Heavy Construction," a guide for heavy construction projects and contractors. SOLUTIONS AMERINST PROFESSIONAL SERVICES LTD. added a series of new multiple service capabilities to its streamlined Web-based professional liability program. Policyholders can experience electronic signature processing, pay premiums online and receive e-mail verification, providing closer customer contact for the insurer as well. AON BENFIELD released a new version 5 of its ReMetrica financial analysis tool for insurers.
