JIM SLABAUGH was named division manager of Rutherfoord Benefits Services. Based in Richmond, Va., Slabaugh has more than three decades of experience in benefits, including stints at nHealth Inc., KSPH, Mercer and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia.

ROBERT LANE was named executive vice president of Willis Risk Solutions. Based in Chicago, he will head up the unit that serves the largest and most complex corporate accounts. Lane has been with Willis since 2005 serving as chief legal counsel and claims and coverage practice leader in the Willis Bermuda office.

JAMES N. MICHEL joined Marsh as senior vice president of its global rail practice. With more than 35 years in the rail business, he comes to the global brokerage firm by way of HNTB, where he was national director of intercity passenger rail, and before that from Amtrak, where he served for 22 years.

PETER ROBINSON was named as a principal of ReSource Intermediaries Inc., the reinsurance intermediary of Integro Insurance Brokers. Robinson was founder of Reinsurance Advisory Services Inc., a healthcare-focused reinsurance intermediary that was acquired by ReSource.

KIRK CONRAD joined Goss Reinsurance Brokers LLC as a partner and leader of its quantitative analysis unit. Prior to joining Goss Re, Kirk served as vice president, reserving actuary, at Affirmative Insurance and as an investment analyst at HBK Capital Management.

STEVEN HERBERT was made head of LMX within the marine and energy reinsurance team at Cooper Gay & Co. Ltd. He is joined by PHIL FOX, who becomes head of U.K. and Europe within the unit, and JIM HAMILTON-GRANT, who is now head of international.
