SOLUTIONS

DAVID CORP. announced an agreement with SAP to integrate the SAP BusinessObjects business intelligence solutions with its NavRisk platform to offer an integrated reporting and analytics solution to the insurance and risk management marketplace. For DAVID clients, this means access to more reporting and management dashboards directly from the NavRisk platform.

HEALTHCARE INSIGHT (HCI) released a technology platform for fraud, waste and abuse prevention and detection. Called Nucleus, it features analytics, risk scoring and a customizable interface to help insurers stop fraud before medical claims are paid.

Falls Church, Va.-based CSC made available the Java Platform Enterprise Edition of its Exceed software, a software suite that provides comprehensive policy administration, billing and collections for property/casualty insurers.

SEAPASS SOLUTIONS INC. released its Insurance Portal 3.0, the next generation of quoting, submission, policy change, billing and claims inquiry solution for P/C insurance carriers.

AIR WORLDWIDE added data quality scoring capabilities to its TruExposure suite of solutions, which help property insurers and reinsurers validate, benchmark and improve exposure data used for catastrophe analyses.

COVERAGES

U.K.-based specialist-lines underwriting agent CFC Underwriting launched MEDIA, a modular policy designed to cover all the major risks of traditional authors, publishers, broadcasters and media professional service firms. It can include media liability, defamation, cyberliability and intellectual property rights coverages, among others.

The AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE SERVICES (AAIS) initiated a countrywide filing of a revised, expanded commercial umbrella program, with a proposed effective date of Sept. 1, 2011. Under the revised programs, insurers will have a choice between two base forms for writing excess and umbrella liability coverage.

The International Surety, Credit & Political Risk group at ZURICH executed an agreement with SACE, Italy's insurance and financial group, to establish a framework for a public/private collaboration. Under the terms of the agreement, Zurich and SACE will collaborate to provide reinsurance, co-insurance and surety facilities to create new surety solutions to Italian companies operating outside of Italy.

MARSH launched its Mobile Asset and Commodity Expropriation (MACE) insurance facility for political risk exposures. Available globally, the facility provides up to $100 million of coverage per risk for plant, equipment and inventories located in foreign countries and territorial waters or while in transit between sites.

SERVICES

LOCKTON and FUNK GROUP expanded their risk management service alliance. Through the alliance, Funk will provide risk management support for Lockton clients in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and some Eastern European countries. Lockton will provide risk management advisory services for Funk clients in various countries around the world.

TUCKER CONSULTING INC. launched an online risk management tool for shippers and logistic providers. The service is provided through the QualifiedCarriers.com website and allows users to track U.S. Department of Transportation data, manage and distribute documents, and provides assistance with audits and safety and compliance issues,
