XL INSURANCE and JORGENSEN & CO., a specialist professional liability managing general underwriter, partnered in a joint underwriting agreement to provide accountants' and consultants' professional liability insurance. The program is called CPAGold and is offered in all states except Alaska.

AMERINST PROFESSIONAL SERVICES LTD. partnered with CRUM & FORSTER insurance group to offer a professional liability insurance program specifically tailored to the needs of small law firms. The program is based on a claims-made policy with limit and deductible options tailored to smaller firms.

WILLIS GROUP HOLDINGS created a new facility designed to provide additional underwriting capacity for the oil and gas industry, in effect from Dec. 31, 2010. This facility is designed to underwrite a 10 percent follow line, subject to an overall limit of $250 million on any one insured. It is backed by Berkshire Hathaway.

The AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE SERVICES (AAIS) implemented its AAISalliance, which expands the number of information providers accessible through its newly redesigned AAISdirect online library for its member companies. The library contains resources such as policy forms, manuals, bulletins and other information.

MONTGOMERY INSURANCE, a Liberty Mutual Agency Corp. regional company, is holding two-day Bricks & Clicks digital marketing workshops for its appointed independent agencies. They are occurring in Greenville, S.C., on Jan. 18-19, and Knoxville, Tenn., on Jan. 20-21. Attendees will be instructed in growing their businesses online and learn strategies and techniques for using online marketing to boost leads and drive sales.

CNA HEALTHPRO released its research on healthcare liability trends to help its clients manage a variety of healthcare risks. These resources include numerous client bulletins and risk management on such topics as laboratory error and pressure ulcer prevention.

SOLUTIONS

ZOOMSAFER unveiled a new cloud-based software service that helps corporate fleet operators and risk managers measure and manage employee use of mobile phones while driving, regardless of the type of phone used by employees. Called FleetSafer Vision, the solution does not require on-device software.

CITICUS LTD. released its Citicus MoCA app for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This business app enables decision-makers to identify the business impact of their organization's assets and processes being disrupted.
