FRANK PETERSMARK was named CIO advocate at X by 2, a technology consultancy that specializes in working with insurance companies. Petersmark joins after more than three decades in the insurance business, most recently as chief information officer and vice president of IT at Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co.

THOMAS CHESBROUGH was appointed to the new position of senior vice president of business enterprise solutions at StoneRiver Inc. He comes to the tech solution provider from Nationwide Insurance, where he was responsible for IT applications. His two decades in the technology field also include stints at Kensington Pointe, Thazar Solutions, Dodson Insurance Group and American Mutual Liability Insurance.

Oakland, Calif.-based StoneRiver also announced that PAUL SKORDILIS joined as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Most recently, he was vice president of sales for the Insurance Global Business Unit at Oracle.

CHAD HERSH was promoted to partner at Novarica. He has been with the technology consultancy since 2008, when he joined from Celent. His specialties include insurance policy administration systems research, vendor selection and evaluation, and cloud computing and mobile technology use by insurers.
