WILLIAM E. LOVETT was appointed by Willis to the newly created position of executive vice president, sales and business development, for Global Specialty in North America. Based in Atlanta, Lovett most recently worked for Allianz Global and Corporate Specialty as managing director of global market management. From 1991 to 2008, he worked at AIG Aviation Inc, including as president and CEO of its North American operation.

ANDREW CHISLETT will become the CEO of the new South African operation of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, effective in September. Chislett previously was CEO of Glenrand MIB. Also joining him will be WALTER CRONJE, DANNY BUITENDAG and PAUL TURNER. Cronje and Buitendag held senior management positions within Glenrand. Turner was head of Aon Benfield's Facultative Reinsurance Practice in South Africa.

ANTHONY MASTROLIA was appointed as construction management leader for the U.S. construction practice at Marsh. Prior, he worked at Aon as managing director and national broking officer of the construction services group.

ROBERT MICHAEL was hired as a global trade credit specialist at Miller. Over his 17-year career, he has worked at Marsh (most recently), GE Capital, Willis and Equifax.

Willis also announced that PAUL HOLMES was named as managing director of Al Futtaim Willis Middle East, effective Feb. 9. Based in Dubai, the 25-year insurance veteran has spent 14 years in the Middle East and comes to Willis from RSA Insurance, where he last served as CEO of its Middle East operations.

He will be succeeding MARC SLATTER, who is set to become general manager for Willis Saudi Arabia, pending regulatory approval. Slatter will be based in Al-Khobar. He has been at Willis since 1982, primarily in the Energy division, and moved to Al Futtaim Willis Dubai in 1996, where he has been managing director of the Middle East region for 10 years.
