ALLIED WORLD ASSURANCE COMPANY HOLDINGS enhanced its standard lawyers platform from Allied World U.S. to ease administration and expand coverage offerings for both new and renewal business. Coverage enhancements will include increased reimbursement for lost earnings coverage; increased disciplinary proceedings; subpoena coverage; and a modified consent to settle provision.
MARSH launched a new product for midsize U.S. chemical and processing companies with annual sales between $25 million and $500 million. Called ChemPreferred, it is a customized package of policies including comprehensive casualty, property and environmental insurance coverages.
IronPro, the professional liability unit of IRONSHORE INC., introduced a specialized technology professional liability policy designed for the complex exposures of the information technology and computer industries. TechDefender provides for policy limits of up to $15 million for a broad spectrum of commercial technology liability risks, including network security, privacy and Internet media, and can also respond to cover reimbursement of privacy breach expenses, digital asset expenses and business-interruption costs.
XL INSURANCE unveiled a new fine art, property and liability policy for clients in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. XL Mosaic is aimed at private and corporate collectors, museums, watchmakers and jewelers. It provides a single policy for fine art, artifacts, jewelry, buildings, fixtures and contents, and includes business-interruption, transports and general liability coverage worldwide.

The RETAIL INDUSTRY LEADERS ASSOCIATION (RILA) is partnering with the National Institute for OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (NIOSH) to further efforts to enhance the safety and health conditions in the retail industry. Through their partnership NIOSH and RILA will collaborate to provide outreach, communication, and professional development opportunities regarding occupational safety and health, and facilitate the transfer and implementation of effective workplace injury prevention measures.
