SOLUTIONS

AON CORP. united its merger-and-acquisition practices to form Aon M&A Solutions. The group will be comprised of approximately 100 M&A professionals around the globe working in collaboration with specialty product, solution and industry practices across Aon. The group will be responsible for M&A-related client and project management, and for delivering innovative solutions to Aon's corporate and private equity clients.

DECISION RESEARCH CORPORATION (DRC) released a new toolset called the DecisionMaker Rating Optimizer, which will assist carriers with test-case validation, input and output mappings, as well as complex ratings scenario for pricing and managing products.

OVERLAND SOLUTIONS INC. made available AuditStream, a secure online premium audit solution for commercial-lines carriers. It is a carrier-branded Web 2.0 portal that can manage service selection, increases overall completion ratios and gives policyholders a convenient medium for accurate data submission.

RESOURCES

ECRI INSTITUTE, the Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based independent nonprofit, is offering a free educational webinar, " 2011 Top 10 Health Technology Hazards," on February 23, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. ET. The 60-minute presentation is designed for hospital clinical engineers, materials managers, risk managers and executive leaders.

THE GRIFFITH INSURANCE EDUCATION FOUNDATION is looking to provide grants to fund adjunct professor positions in risk management and insurance studies. Funds for these grants are provided by The Robert P. Ashlock Memorial Fund, established by Assurex Global in memory of its former CEO. Submissions are accepted annually, and the deadline for this year is March 15, 2011.

THE GRIFFITH FOUNDATION also already awarded more than $35,000 in 29 scholarships for the 2010-11 academic year to 25 deserving students studying risk management, insurance or actuarial science at colleges and universities. COLORADO CASUALTY, a Liberty Mutual Agency Corp. regional company, is holding two-day Bricks & Clicks digital marketing workshops for its appointed independent agencies next month in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Attendees will be instructed in growing their businesses online and learn strategies and techniques for using online marketing to boost leads and drive sales. COVERAGES

HOWDEN SPECIALTY UNDERWRITERS LLC, a subsidiary of Hyperion Insurance Group Ltd., and LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL UNDERWRITERS (LIU), now offer a management liability insurance program with limits up to $5 million that is focused on private companies with less than $250 million in assets. The LIU Private Advantage Executive Liability policies can give private companies access to a full suite of management liability lines that includes directors' and officers' liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability and crime coverage.

ZURICH updated its captive agents errors-and-omissions liability coverage for life and property/casualty insurance company-sponsored groups. The new coverage offers limits of $1 - $3 million, a broad definition of "professional services," and dedicated and centralized underwriting services.
