JOIA M. JOHNSON was elected to serve as a member of the board at Crawford & Co. Johnson is chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary for Hanesbrands Inc. She also serves on the H. J. Russell & Co. board and on several professional and civic boards, including the board of governors of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility and the board of directors and executive committee of the American Arbitration Association.

MARC GODFREY was named manager of Global Technical Services in Brazil for Atlanta-based Crawford. He joined the claims management solutions provider in 2008 and previously adjusted construction and energy claims for GTS. Prior to that, he worked on international constructions claims for two other adjusting organizations.

Crawford also announced that STEPHEN J. CUOTO was named vice president of operations for GTS in the United States. The 30-year insurance veteran has served with several insurance carriers in his career. He joined Crawford in 2008 and has served as the liaison between GTS and Crawford's U.S. property/casualty division

JOHN D'ALUSIO joined MEDVAL LLC as executive vice president for the East Coast. The 30-year insurance veteran joins the Medicare set-aside solution provider from Avizent, where he most recently served as executive vice president and senior claims and operations officer.

BOB FITZGERALD was named as the new president of the Canadian operations of ClaimsPro Inc. He joins the division of SCM Insurance Services from Aviva Canada, where he served as executive vice president and chief marketing and underwriting officer. During his quarter-century career, he has also worked at Safeco of Canada, Dominion of Canada General Insurance and Axa Canada.
