MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL INC. and LEXISNEXIS partnered to develop an expanded set of integrated product and service offerings to assist insurance carriers with more effectively managing property and casualty claims. The extended relationship includes integration of Mitchell DecisionPoint, a first- and third-party liability medical bill review and workflow software, with an expanded set of unique LexisNexis claims data and predictive analytics capabilities.
CDS BUSINESS MAPPING LLC added a parcel-level geocoding database to its RiskMeter Online service. This new feature will provide underwriters and agents with accurate geocoding to assist in assessing and pricing risks, such as FEMA flood zones, hurricane storm surge and wildfire risk.
RISK MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS (RMS) partnered with BUILDFAX, a provider of U.S. building permit data, to integrate this data into a wide variety of RMS solutions. BuildFax will provide RMS with digitized building permit information for more than 60 percent of the United States, along with roof age, construction quality data points and additions/remodels data. The data will be available at the point of underwriting, and RMS clients will have access to an integrated package of data, analytics and models within a comprehensive underwriting application.
MARSH formed an alliance with risk analysis and mapping firm MAPLECROFT, which will provide access for Marsh clients to resources such as maps, indices, scorecards and in-depth reports. As part of the collaboration, Marsh and Maplecroft will hold quarterly country risk analysis presentations and produce bespoke country risk mapping products and in-depth reports for Marsh clients, tailored to their specific risk information requirements.
GCUBE UNDERWRITING LTD. increased its capacity for solar energy property coverage from $300 million to $500 million for any individual solar energy project or phase.
Managing general underwriter CED 1976 LLC will be the exclusive provider of underwriting and policy servicing for a new jewelers block insurance program from the CHUBB GROUP OF INSURANCE COS. called Jewelers unBLOCKed. The program will be offered country wide to qualified retail agents, brokers and wholesalers and will address the unique exposures of the jewelry industry, including retailers, custom designers, wholesalers, remount events, manufacturers and refiners.
The North America Commercial Construction business unit at ZURICH introduced an integrated project lifecycle solution for public-private partnership (PPP) projects. The product includes strategic consultation services such as conceptual planning and supply chain analysis, as well as a suite of insurance products such as general contractor surety performance bonds, pollution liability and builders risk, among others.
Independent global broker COOPER GAY launched Cooper Gay European Markets, an integrated trading unit that will pool its talent in Hamburg, Paris and London. Covering a wide range of property, terrorism, and liability insurance and reinsurance risks, the team will place and service both wholesale insurance and facultative reinsurance business in the European and international marketplaces.
RYAN SPECIALTY GROUP LLC launched CivicRisk, a managing general underwriter specializing in excess casualty coverage for public entities. The MGU will offer public entities a broad range of occurrence and wrongful acts coverage underwritten on a single policy form that addresses general liability, law enforcement, public officials, employment practices liability, employee benefits and automobile exposures.
