The Responsibility LeaderŽdesignation honors those Power BrokerŽwinners who best exemplify the following attributes: Going above and beyond the call of duty in a way that benefits their clients, company and community; doing the right thing over the easy thing; encouraging young people to consider brokerage and insurance as a career.
We reviewed the applications of the Power BrokerŽwinners to identify those candidates who best represented the values of a Responsibility LeaderŽ.
For Teena Hostovich, a Los Angeles-based executive vice president with Lockton and one of 10 selected for the 2011 Responsibility LeaderŽ designation, leadership includes mentoring and inspiring young women in the insurance industry, working with disadvantaged children and helping to bring music programs to inner-city schools.
For others, earning the Responsibility LeaderŽdesignation came after years of excellence at brokering and pursuing a passion, whether it was volunteerism, charity work or mentoring younger generations of brokers in the insurance profession.

What binds this year's winners of the Responsibility LeaderŽ designation is a dedication to a world that exists beyond their closely held client-broker relationships, or their loyalty to an employer, or their next renewal.
The publisher and editors of Risk & InsuranceŽ congratulate this year's winners of the Responsibility LeaderŽ designation, as these leaders prepare to pass on their passion and professionalism to those in the industry who intend to follow in their footsteps.
The designation is sponsored by Liberty Mutual, the Boston-based international, multiline property/casualty insurance company.
