Texas: Division lists status 'N' drugs

The Division of Workers' Compensation issued a memorandum to health care providers and insurance carriers stating that it posted a listing of status "N" drugs published in the official disability guidelines.

The division will update the listing monthly. Status "N" drugs are excluded from the division's closed formulary. The memorandum also stated that starting Sept. 1, preauthorization will be required when prescribing and dispensing drugs excluded from the division's closed formulary for injuries occurring on or after Sept. 1.
