California: Division to apply inflation factor to ambulance fee schedule

The Division of Workers' Compensation revised regulations pertaining to ambulance services in the official medical fee schedule.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services determined that the ambulance inflation factor for the 2011 calendar year is a negative one-tenth of 1 percent. For services provided after Jan. 1, the ambulance inflation factor is to be applied to fees by using the ambulance service fees in the ambulance fee schedule.
