STEPHEN EDMUNDSON joined the Houston office of Cozen O'Connor as a member of the litigation department and the global insurance group. Formerly a partner at Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, he focuses his litigation practice on insurance coverage and claims litigation, complex business litigation, products liability, mass tort, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability defense.

Conyers Dill & Pearman promoted GENE DACOSTA, PETER CH'NG and FAWAZ ELMALKI to partner status. DaCosta has been with its Cayman office since November 2003, excluding a recent one-year stint in the Hong Kong office. His practice includes all aspects of corporate and commercial law, structured financing, aircraft and shipping registration/financing. Ch'ng has been with the Bermuda office since 2001. His practice encompasses insurance, mutual funds, private equity investment, mergers and acquisition, structured finance, banking, security and derivatives in multijurisdictional contexts. Elmalki has experience in Shariah-compliant funds, including joint ventures and offshore structuring of Islamic financial products.
