North Carolina: Rehabilitation professionals must complete qualification course
Effective July 1, every rehabilitation professional is required to complete a comprehensive course entitled Workers' Compensation Case Management in NC: A Basic Primer for Medical and Vocational Case Managers in order to be recognized as "qualified." To maintain a qualified status, the rehabilitation professional must attend a two-hour refresher course every five years. All conditional rehabilitation professionals also are required to complete the comprehensive program. Effective July 1, 2013, any rehabilitation professionals who did not complete the comprehensive course will lose their qualified status.
