Arizona: Possible changes to fee schedules call

The Industrial Commission is considering changes to the physicians' and pharmaceutical fee schedule.

The commission is considering adopting the use of the average wholesale price in its fee schedule drug payment formula as well as the category III chapter of the American Medical Association current procedural terminology. The commission is also considering adopting terminology changes in the 2010 current procedural terminology codes.

The commission will also consider public comments received. A public hearing is scheduled for May 26 at 1 p.m. in the first floor auditorium at 800 West Washington Street in Phoenix.
