MARLEEN JUDGE was appointed as head of the Marsh St. Louis office. With more than two decades of corporate risk management experience, she joined Marsh in 2004 after serving at such firms as Solutia and McDonnell Douglas. At Marsh, her previous role was client executive in the National Brokerage practice.

RODNEY BAKER-BATES joined Willis Ltd., the U.K. brokering company of Willis Group Holdings, as the independent nonexecutive chairman of the board. Baker-Bates' career in the financial services industry starting out in 1966. He currently sits on several boards.

Willis Ltd. also announced that BRENDAN MCMANUS was named CEO. He will continue in his role as CEO of Willis UK & Ireland. McManus has been CEO of Willis UK & Ireland since 2007 when he joined the Willis Group following a 20-year career at Royal & SunAlliance (RSA).

ALPHONSE FALCO was named vice president of the Willis Human Capital practice at Willis North America. Prior to joining Willis, Falco served as vice president, key accounts, at Corporate Synergies Group.

Wills North America also appointed DREW WRIGHT as vice president and personal risk advisor for Willis Personal Lines. He comes to Willis by way of Marsh USA, where he was vice president and business development executive for private client services.

HEATH CUNNINGHAM joined the casualty team in AmWINS' Atlanta office. The 12-year insurance veteran had been with wholesale competitor Swett & Crawford since 1999. He specializes in energy, construction and product-related risks.

AmWINS also named RYAN MOORE as a member of its casualty team in San Francisco. He has been an underwriter and a wholesale broker over the course of his eight-year career and has developed specialties in construction, real estate, environmental and excess trucking.

JAMIN VALDEZ joined the Los Angeles office of Aon Risk Solutions as an account executive. Valdez most recently served as an environmental risk specialist with DLD Insurance Brokers, a regional brokerage in Southern California, and prior to that role, Valdez was an underwriter with Chartis Environmental.

MARK HEUER was promoted to the position of vice president of national agency relations at Crump. Heuer began at Crump in 2005 and has served for the past two years as the vice president of business development for the Chicago office. Prior to Crump, Heuer was vice president and casualty broker with CRC Dallas.

JOHN HEFT was appointed as senior vice president and director of the real estate practice for New Day Underwriting Managers. He has been with the brokerage specialty firm in 2006 after two years as vice president and client advisor in Marsh's environmental practice.

CAPTAIN WALTER JUSTERS was named the head of the new specialist marine insurance broker, Junge Verzekeringsmakelaars NV, established by Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford in Antwerp.
