CINDY MALLETT was sworn in as the new president of the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) for 2011-2012. The risk manager for the city of Gainesville, Ga., Mallett takes over the role of president after serving on PRIMA's board of directors since 2007.

Also new to the PRIMA board is ED BEECHER, risk manager for the city of Pompano Beach, Fla., and REGAN RYCHETSKY, director of HHS enterprise risk management and safety at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

PRIMA also announced that JAMES E. HUCKABY was honored with its Public Risk Manager of the Year award. Huckaby is director of risk management for the Mesquite Independent School District in Mesquite, Texas.

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) named three new board members, who will serve until June 2014. They are HELLE FRIBERG from the Danish risk management association DARIM, IGOR MIKHAYLOV from the Russian association RUSRISK and ARNOUT VAN DER VEER from the Dutch association NARIM.

SASKIA GOEDHART was named the chief risk officer for the North America region at Aviva North America. She previously worked at Munich Re Life, North America, as CRO and, before that, at ING as asset liability management and capital management in the United States.

NOEL DONOHOE was appointed as executive managing director and group chief risk officer at Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. (DTCC). Donohoe was most recently managing director, global head of product control, at Credit Suisse. Prior to that, Donohoe was co-head, global risk, for Merrill Lynch and chief operating officer and partner of hedge fund management firm Dune Capital.
